Casey Anthony Indicted for Murder, But Still No Sign of Caylee

It has been over four months since the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony, and yet her whereabouts are still unknown.

Caylee Anthony's mother Casey has been in and out of jail, protestors have battled with the Anthony family in front of their home, and there have even been talks of movie and book deals regarding the case. Sites such as www.petitionsite.com are even creating petitions for the public to sign regarding the case and the family.

Media Blitz

Just this week Caylee’s grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony, appeared on NBC’s Today Show, where Cindy continued to tout her daughter Casey’s innocence and George spoke of the whirlwind experience all of this has been. Yet, the publicity and media stunts have brought us no closer to finding out the truth about what happened to Caylee.

Cindy's Unusual Behavior

Even after authorities released transcripts and audio tapes regarding interviews with witnesses and persons of interest, Cindy’s mantra has remained the same—Casey is innocent and Caylee is alive. The official reports revealed George, Cindy, and Lee, Casey’s brother, all smelled a terrible putrid odor emanating from Casey’s car trunk after Caylee’s disappearance, yet Cindy continues to deny the smell existed (or claims it was rotten pizza). At least George seems to be facing reality and testified at the grand jury hearing that resulted in Casey being indicted for Caylee’s murder last week.

Some may believe Cindy Anthony is lying to protect her daughter, but it appears she may be lying to herself as a method of self-preservation. What has happened to her and her family is unimaginable for most and her denial of reality may be the only thing keeping her sane and functioning on a daily basis. To realize her daughter may be a murderer and, if so, that she will never see her precious granddaughter again appears to be just too much for her to bear.

Cindy may also harbor immense guilt, for she is the one who made the 911 call that began the entire investigation. Therefore, deep down, she could feel responsible for everything that has happened. Even though this may not be a rationale response, it is probably very difficult for anyone in the family to think rationally about such a surreal and horrifying situation.

Victims of Circumstance

George and Cindy Anthony did not ask for this to happen to them, and it is clear they loved Caylee desperately and want her home safely. Sadly, all the forensic and circumstantial evidence seem to indicate their wishes will go unfulfilled, yet they will not give up hope until they definitively know Caylee is no longer with us.

Texas EquuSearch continues to look for any sign of Caylee and without such a find, it is likely we will never know what really happened to the precious little girl, since her mother, Casey, is not budging from her story--the story in which Caylee was kidnapped by a “nanny” that did not exist.

Casey's Lies Have Caught Up With Her

Casey thought she was clever enough to fool them all, but her lies, abhorrent behavior after Caylee went missing, and her cold heartedness has gotten the best of her. One can only hope a jury will see through the madness and find her guilty of the deeds for which she has been charged.

May justice be served for little Caylee Marie Anthony.

This whole thing is unbelievable. I can not feel sorry for these Grandparents, they harbored their daughter while letting a two year old child decompose out in the elements. I truly feel they could have made Casey talk if they wanted to, they didn't want to. Instead they had rather cling to the tips they get, not one of them has been credible as reported by Law Enforcement. The evidence leads in one direction and it's NOT pointing towards any kidnapping, it's pointing towards a guilty and selfish daughter who wanted freedom at any cost.

Casey Anthony murdered her precious child and if the grandparents of that child are going to stand by Casey then they are as guilty as she is. They have been there to protect thier daughter, but who was there to protect little Caylee??
