FBI Reports John A. Gotti, aka Junior IndictedSon of Mob "Dapper Don" Charged for RICO Conspiracy and Murder
John A. Gotti and five associates have been indicted for RICO Conspirancy, Drug Trafficking and Murder. Gotti is the son of the Gambino Crime Family Boss "Teflon Don".
United States Attorney Robert E. O'Neill and Steven E. Ibison, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, has announced two related indictments charging six men, including John A. Gotti, with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Statue. The FBI reported the indictments on the official Federal Bureau of Investigation website. The indictments involve members of the Gambino Crime Family and an enterprise called GCF, which is alleged to engage in a variety of illegal activities. The Gotti CaseJohn A. Gotti, 44, of Oyster Bay, New York, was charged with RICO conspiracy, drug trafficking and the murders, or mob hits, of three men. John A. Gotti is the son of former Gambino Crime Family boss, John J. Gotti, now deceased. John J. Gotti was known as the Mafia Kingpin, also called the "Dapper Don" or "Teflon Don." The indictment specifies that John A. Gotti occupied various roles in the GCF Enterprise. John A. Gotti served in GCF roles including associate, soldier, captain and de facto boss of the Gambino Crime Family. John A. Gotti is also known as "John, Jr." or "Junior". John A. Gotti is charged with possesson of, and trafficking in, more than five kilograms cocaine. Gotti is charged with the murder of three men: George Grosso (1988), Louis DeBono (1990) and Bruce John Gotterup (1991.) Gotti faces life imprisonment if convicted. GCF EnterprisesAccording to the RICO conspiracy charge against John A. Gotti, from in or about 1983 and continuing through July 24, 2008, Gotti and other members and associates of the Gambino Crime Family of La Cosa Nostra, engaged in an enterprise called "GCF Enterprise" According to the F.B.I. website, GCF engaged in an array of criminal conduct, including murder, kidnapping, robbery, bribery, extortion, gambling, illegal drug trafficking, burglary, home invasions, loansharking, collecting unlawful debts, aggravated assaults, batteries, jury tampering, victim tampering and witness tampering. The indictment further charges that members of GCF engaged in public displays of violence, including shootings, stabbings, baseball bat beatings and murder. The acts and displays of violence were designed to create and maintain fear and dread in others, so the GCF Enterprise could defend and expand unlawful dominion and influence in certain geographical areas, legal business, legal industries, unions' locals and illegal businesses.
