Human Decomposition in Casey Anthony's TrunkTests Confirm Casey Had a Dead Body in Her Vehicle
Air sample tests conducted by the University of Tennessee confirm the presence of human decomposition in Casey Anthony's car.
The University of Tennessee conducted tests of air samples taken from the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car. The results indicate a presence of human decomposition, prompting Florida investigators to request further tests on Casey’s car. The tests did not confirm that the human decomposition was that of Caylee, only that there had been a dead body decomposing in Casey’s trunk. Caylee Anthony remains a missing person and this finding only increases suspicion that foul play was involved in her disappearance. Several weeks ago, authorities publicly stated they had Caylee’s DNA, yet would not comment on where it was obtained leaving many to speculate about the DNA test results. Casey’s car had been abandoned by her and when found, Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony stated she believed the car had smelled like a dead body when she called 911. The driver who towed Casey’s car from where it had been abandoned also commented on the terrible smell coming from the vehicle. The foul odor reminded him of a car he had towed in which the owner had committed suicide. This information was released on Monday in documents that Casey’s attorney, Jose Baez, had attempted to keep out of the public eye. Early in the investigation, cadaver dogs had picked up the scent of death, however, the Anthony family insisted the dogs confused the smell of a cadaver with a pizza Casey had left in the trunk for almost 2 weeks. Immunity Deal for CaseyFox News is reporting that authorities have offered Casey some sort of immunity deal if she provides them with information that leads to finding Caylee alive or her remains if she is deceased. According to the report, Casey has only 24 hours to accept the immunity deal. Bounty Hunter Now Regrets Decision to Bail Casey Out of JailJust last week, Casey left her jail cell for her parents’ home due to the assistance of television bounty hunter, Leonard Padilla and his nephew, Tony Padilla, who posted her $500,000 bail. Leonard Padilla claimed he only wanted Casey released from jail because he believed she had given Caylee to someone, that Caylee was alive, and that Casey would talk about what happened once she felt comfortable in her parent’s home. After the release of 400-pages of damning information regarding Casey and her behavior, today’s test results regarding Casey’s trunk, and the fact Casey will not speak to him, the bounty hunter has expressed regret for his actions. Padilla stated to reporters, “Had I known that she would not talk to me, coupled with that (discovery) report—no, I would not have come (to Orlando).” Sheriff Deputy Fired for Lying about Relationship with CaseyAnother revelation recently released indicates that Anthony Rusciano, a sheriff’s deputy, was fired for lying about his relationship with Casey. Rusciano had told investigators he had met Casey at a party, however, evidence was found on Casey’s computer that indicated Rusciano and Casey had a relationship that was more than casual. Nevertheless, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has stated they do not believe Rusciano had anything to do with Caylee’s disappearance.
