Wife Stacy is Still Missing but Former Chicago Cop Plans Wedding

Drew Peterson is planning wedding five, even though he is officially still married to missing wife Stacy Peterson, who he is planning to divorce so he can wed again.

Drew Peterson, one of America’s most notorious husbands has announced his engagement to a 23 year old woman he has been dating for four months. According to news reports, Peterson announced his engagement to an unidentified woman, even though he is still officially married to Stacy Peterson. Stacy who has been missing since last year, October, 2007.

Drew Peterson Announces Engagement

Both ABC News and WGN News on television have aired announcements that Peterson, 54, is planning to wed for the fifth time.

Peterson announced his intentions to divorce Stacy Peterson, claiming desertion. Peterson is a suspect in Stacy Peterson’s disappearance, but charges have not been filed. Peterson is also a suspect in the murder of third wife, Kathleen Savio.

According to ABC News, the announcement was made by Peterson’s publicist, Glenn Selig.

If this wedding takes place, it will be Drew Peterson’s fifth marriage.

Drew Peterson, a former Chicago police sergeant, drew negative public opinion with his blasé attitude, wise-guy demeanor and claims that Stacy had run off and left him and their children.

Peterson has been television exhibitin bizarre and suspicious behavior in front of news crews taht gathered in front of his house. Authorities have served him with mutliple search warrants, including searches of his SUV and a computer.

Drew Peterson has four children, two of which are with Stacy.

Drew and Stacy Peterson Relationship

Before marrying Drew Peterson, Stacy was Stacy Cales. Stacy was just 16 years old when she met Drew, who was 30 years her senior. Drew was still married to Kathleen Savio when he and Stacy started dating. Drew and Stacy married in 2003, about a year after their first child was born. According to Stacy's family Drew soon became abusive and started acting controlling.

Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, had died in a bathtub in 2004. Savior’s death had been ruled an accidental death, but when the body was exhumed authorities changed the ruling to homicide. The homicide ruling came in February, 2008. Savio and Peterson were in the process of divorce when she was murdered.

According to the ABC News website, both Kathleen Savior and Stacy Peterson had told friends that they feared Drew Peterson.

Stacy Peterson was 23 years old when she went missing on October 23, 2007. The case of Stacy’s disappearance remains open and is under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the Will County State’s Attorney Office.

Stacy Peterson was reported missing by her sister. According to members at Stacy’s church, she had told them that Drew Peterson had confessed to her that he had killed Kathleen Savio. Stacy ‘s last known contact was a voice mail message that she left for her father, telling him that she wanted dot leave her new telephone number, which her family says shows that she had no intention of running away.
