A fond farewell message from Crime Writer Art Montague

Art Montague is leaving Suite101, but promises to return as a guest writer. All of us -- his readers and his colleagues will miss him and wish him well.

There's no end to crime in our world. From the beginning of time, justice issues and social systems devised to deal with them have existed, with never an end to more ideas for better solutions. Some have worked, many haven't. The beat goes on.

In the nearly three months I was Suite 101 Crime Editor, I merely scratched the surface of subjects for serious discussion: Articles. Each article could have been expanded into a series had there been interest, and perhaps there will be -- over time. My own personal interest, Crimes Against Property, was barely mentioned, ditto, White Collar Crime; yet, I believe these topics contain important indicators of shifts taking place in our society under our very noses.

Since I will be returning as a guest writer from time to time, I ask those viewers who have shown an interest in Suite 101 Social Issues: Crime to contact Julie Burtinshaw or an incoming new editor to convey special concerns in which I may have expertise. I will pay close attention.

Best Regards,

Art
