Caylee is Still Missing Yet Casey Released AgainCasey Walks Out of Jail Again Although Chloroform Found in Her Trunk
Over the past few days much activity has surround the Caylee Anthony case--traces of chloroform and a weapon are found, 20/20 does a story, and security is installed.
Authorities have announced that traces of chloroform were found in Casey Anthony’s trunk—the trunk where Caylee’s decomposing hair was found, along with a suspicious stain. In addition, investigators found that Casey had conducted Internet searches on her computer regarding chloroform and its uses. The chemical is an anesthetic and can cause a person to lose consciousness or pass out. Chloroform can also be fatal to a child or if given in high doses. Casey Released from Jail a Second TimeAlso , Casey walked out of jail for a second time after an anonymous source posted her $500,000 bond. Ironically, Casey was wearing a t-shirt displaying a picture of Caylee, along with a black baseball cap. According to reports, Cindy and George Anthony, Casey’s parents, signed bond documents putting up collateral for her release. Thus, if any losses are incurred, Cindy and George are obligated to repay the bondsman. Casey is again staying at her parents’ home in Orlando and is required to wear an ankle bracelet monitor so authorities can be assured of her whereabouts. ABC’s 20/20 Covers the CaseThe newsmagazine television show, 20/20, highlighted the case and provided new videos and photographs of Caylee and Casey. According to some reports, ABC News did not pay the Anthony’s for the 20/20 interview, yet according to news reports, ABC licensed the photographs and videos, which would require some sort of payment to the original owners of the documents. There have also been reports by the Orlando Sentinel that Cindy and George have hired an agent to represent them. Protestor Brawls in Front of HomeDozens of protestors have been outside the Anthony home screaming “baby killer…” and holding signs denouncing Casey, her mothering abilities, and her second release from jail. Protestors are so passionate about their stances that actual brawls have broken out in front of the home prompting the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to arrive at the scene and calm the crowd of protestors. Gun Removed from George’s Tire WellGeorge and Cindy have now hired their own attorney, Mark NeJame, but for what purpose is still unknown. Nejame has stated publicly he will not be representing Casey. Nevertheless, law enforcement searched the Anthony premises and discovered a firearm in the spare tire wheel well of George’s vehicle. This is significant, since part of Casey’s release agreement is that there are not to be any type of firearms on the property. According to the judge who issued the bail, this did not violate Casey’s bail since she was unaware of the weapon and thus will not be taken back into custody. Security Cameras for the Anthony HomeA security company arrived at the Anthony home to install security cameras. According to several reports, there have been threats against the family and the crowds outside the home have grown exponentially, therefore the cameras are presumably to ensure the family’s protection. Today, as Cindy briefly stepped outside the house a male protestor yelled, “You are going to burn in hell, Cindy!” This as other protestors also screamed taunts and insults at the missing toddler’s grandmother.
