Caylee Anthony's Mother Released from JailCasey Anthony Walked Out of Jail Today on $500,000 Bail
Caylee Anthony's mother, Casey, left jail today for her parents' home released on $500,000 bail posted by famed bounty hunter Leonard Padilla.
The 22-year-old mother of Caylee Anthony, Casey Anthony, left her jail cell today for her parents’ home. Tony Padilla, a California bail bondsman, nephew of television bounty hunter, Leonard Padilla, posted her $500,000 bail. The Television Bounty Hunter Posts BailLeonard Padilla claims he only wanted Casey released from jail because he believes that when she is out of that cold incarceration environment with her family and friends, she will be more inclined to tell them what actually happened. Many believe Padilla’s true motive is purely one of publicity since he will be featured on National Geographic Channel’s show, “Bounty Hunters” and such an act will provide fodder for the show. Although he claims that publicity is not his main objective, Padilla has been appearing on a multitude of cable and news shows over the past week. Padilla has stated Casey’s attorney, Jose Baez, and an unknown third party that has not been disclosed contacted him. Padilla claims to believe that Casey could not have killed her daughter Caylee purposely and she gave her to someone or the little girl was fatally injured accidentally. Nevertheless, Padilla argues he still believes Caylee is alive and he and his team plan to find her within the week. Casey Proclaims InnocenceAlthough out on bail, Casey faces criminal charges of child neglect, obstructing the investigation into the disappearance of Caylee, and making false statements. The young mother lied to police about many facts surrounding the case such as her employment and where she left Caylee. Jose Baez, Casey’s attorney, escorted her out of the jail holding a black umbrella over her head. According to Baez, on her way out of jail, Casey whispered to him, “I’m innocent. I’m going to walk out of this place with my head held high.” $225,000 Reward for Caylee’s ReturnCasey was driven to her parents’ home and did not engage reporters that were surrounding the home awaiting her arrival. The family’s spokesperson, Larry Garrison told reporters, “The most important thing is that Casey is home and her parents are very grateful.” Garrison also added the family is convinced Caylee was kidnapped and begged the public to help find her. There is currently a $225,000 reward for Caylee’s safe return. Padilla and his team will monitor Casey by having a member of his team staying with the family. In addition, Casey is required to wear an ankle-monitoring device to ensure she does not attempt to flee the area. To date, the FBI has failed to release the DNA results that were obtained from Casey’s car and other items collected by investigators. In addition, Casey continues to show no remorse or concern for Caylee when questioned by investigators.
