Caylee Anthony, Caylee is Missing
Today authorities confirmed the FBI DNA reports indicate Caylee's dead body was in the trunk of her 22-year-old mother's car.

Several days ago, tests of air samples taken from the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car indicated the presence of human decomposition, yet it could not be confirmed the body was Caylee's. Subsequently, DNA tests confirmed that decomposing hair found in the car belonged to Caylee.

The Body in the Trunk Was Caylee

On Sunday, WESH reported that for the first time Orange County investigators acknowledged the FBI DNA tests confirmed that Caylee’s dead body was in the trunk of her mother Casey’s car. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. John Allen stated, “The information we’ve gotten back from the lab that she was in the trunk of that car and that she is dead is certainly something we take seriously.”

The Search Continues

Equusearch, the Texas-based organization that assisted in the search for Natalie Holloway, is in Orlando searching for Caylee, with the help of about 150 volunteers. Regarding the search, Sgt. Allen commented, “We’re providing search areas that we think might be fruitful. Since we’ve gotten things back from the FBI lab, we know that we’re probably looking for a body.”

Casey Re-arrested

On Friday night, prior to today’s announcement, Casey was re-arrested for fraud including the use of forged checks and petty theft. Crowds of protesters, anxious to see Casey back in jail, surrounded the house yelling at Casey and clapping for joy that she was being sent back to lock-up. Allegedly, Casey stole over $700 in checks from a friend on or about July 8. Casey's bail was set at $3,000 for the new charges, which only required a $300 bond to release her.

Bail Rescinded

Casey had been out of jail since August 21, monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet. This was due to Tony Padilla, a California bail bondsman, who posted her $500,000 bail regarding the original charges surrounding the investigation into Caylee’s disappearance. Padilla is the nephew of television bounty hunter, Leonard Padilla, who has spoken publicly about revoking Casey’s bail after the forensic evidence had been publicly released. Saturday the $500,000 bond was rescinded so Casey will be unable to leave jail even if the $300 bail is posted on the new charges.

Family Remains in Denial

Despite the mounting evidence that Caylee is dead, Cindy and George Anthony, Caylee’s grandparents refuse to believe the reports and continue to support their daughter, Casey. On Friday, prior to Casey’s re-arrest, George went into a rage when he unleashed his fury on two individuals sitting in front of the Anthony house protesting Casey’s being out of jail. George picked up their chairs and threw them while yelling at the protesters to get off his property.

Cindy Anthony now denies Casey’s car ever had a foul smell even though Cindy had told a 911 operator when reporting Caylee missing that Casey’s car smelled like a dead body. Later Cindy claimed it was rotting pizza, and now states a smell never existed. Also reporting the stench of death in the vehicle was the tow truck driver who towed Casey’s car and recognized the smell was similar to a vehicle he had towed in which the owner had committed suicide. As Cindy busily hammered “no trespassing” signs into her lawn on Friday, she was asked about the odor in Casey’s car, and Cindy responded, “Maybe someone put a body in the car after it was towed to the tow yard. Why don’t you talk to them about their security?”

this baby is dead.. The lunatic mother killed her. I dont belive there was an accident. If it were an accident and she did "panic" and coverup the accident, she would still be devastated. Certainly not laughing, smiling, and partying. This looney killed her baby. For what reason i dont know. Maybe she struck the baby in anger and killed her, maybe she met a man and the baby was an "issue", or perhaps shes jealous of her baby and killed her. Your guess is as good as mine. The fact remains the baby is gone, the mother is responsible. And as for the grandparents, these people actually loved , cared for and took care of this baby. They are in denial because they love the baby and want her back..alive...and as far as their daughter ..they deny her wrongdoing because again they cant believe the baby could be dead esp. At the hands of someone they raised. Imagine how they will feel when they accept the fact that this precious baby is dead and their daughter did it..

If Cindy and George Anthony, the parents of Casey would take their blinders off and acknowledge the fact that they know their daughter is involved in the death of little caylee they would feel much better. The longer it takes for them to honestly acknowledge the fact that their daughter is capable and did kill their granddaughter, the longer the parents remains in denial, the longer they are shackled because their daughter Casey is shackled. They should walk into that jail, confront their daughter, tell her that they believe she did it, cut out all of the drama and ask her to tell them where they hid the body. Probably all of Caseys life she has gotten away with lying, stealing and playing games. If we as parents allow our children to get away with this type of behavior, this is a prime example of what will happen in the future. They should for the first time in their daughter's life do her a favor! (Tough Love) Years later while sitting in her jail cell she will acknowledge that she appreciated it. Think about it! Caylee deserves a decent burial. Don't allow her decaying body or ashes to lie out there somewhere as if she had no family or home. Her memory deserves better than that.

I do not believe a body will ever be found because Ms Casey Anthony disposed of her child's body by burning it. She did take tanks of gasoline and why would anyone in her position want or need that? She will not say a word because it benefits her to remain silent and force the FBI and local police to create a hard case against her. She will just wait them out and that buys her a lot of time.

Gosh, I know this sounds awful, but I'm trying to think of all places she could have disposed of little Caylee's remains...I'm wondering if she maybe Casey burned her remains in a fireplace somewhere? With people like that...you can't rule out anything. I hope we can find Caylee. She deserves justice.

This woman is actually a pyscotic lunatic!!!! I believe she killed her own baby!!! I feel so sorry for the grandparents. They look like they are suffering the most. They really loved that little girl...They should try to be a little realistic no matter how hard it is and acknowledge that little caylee has passed on and is in a better place right now. This is a sad thing.
I cannot get over the fact that a mother can do such a vile and inhumane thing...god have mercy on her soul because the devil sure as hell will not!!

I definately think that Casey was/is jealous of her daughter. From the evidence, it seems as though Casey was the black sheep of the family, and Casey's parents were hopful the birth of Caylee might turn their daughters life around, but to no avail. Devistated parents of a bad daughter, who has a daughter of her own. Obviously, Caylee is dead. And there isn't a place hot enough in hell for people who hurt kids.I am sure Casey's parents probably were always worried for Caylee's safety, well fare, and all. But what can someone do? Wish for the Best, fear for the worst. I am sure this fear is shared by many others in this nation, in this world. We need to wake up America!!

I have been following this case, since the 911 call made by Cindy Anthony, I had a gut feeling that Caylee Anthony, was no longer alive.
And such a beautiful little girl. It seems a shame that mommy, wanted to party, and found that having a child around 24/7, was not in her best interest. She should have called her mom,Cindy and said I cannot take care of Caylee any longer, and taken Caylee over to her moms, casey may have not liked what her mother had to say, but at least Caylee would still be alive. Now Casey will face death, or a long term in prison, one will be a blessing, to end her torment, by death. or the long prison term, to live each day, facing the reality that she caused her daughters death, no more parties, no more boyfriends, no more stealing, no more writing bad checks, no more lying.

I think the child died accidentally - that maybe Grandpa lost his temper or Grandma ran over her or maybe she choked on a marble - and everyone in the family is involved in a cover-up. I think they all belong in jail at this point. If i turns out that it was murder, I hope the authorities invoke the death penalty.

How far is this place (where the body was discovered) to where Casey's car was towed? Maybe there were some stores nearby that's got surveillance cameras? They might be able to get a timeline from that.
